On Mother's Day in 2008, I, my mother, and some friends lobbied on behalf of the House of Representative bill 808 (Dept of Peace and Non-Violence) at the offices of Congresswoman Davis and Senator Feinstein in San Diego.

Thank you for supporting the two groups, Americans for a Dept of Peace and Kids for Peace. Your contribution is greatly appreciated. Look at the beneficial uses that last year's donations went towards:

1. $6,570 to Peace Alliance for Wash. DC Office expenses; lobbying; staffing; trainings.

2. $900 for projector & screen to use for educating the public about the bill.

3. $2,000 for educational and public awareness supplies (magnetic bumper stickers, banner frames, tabling kit, postage (for mailings), tee-shirts, buttons, greeting cards, etc).

4. $1,000 to Co-Sponsor peace events (TKF Awards Ceremony & Joan Kroc International Day of Peace).

5. $1,100 for Student Peace Alliance Conference Scholarships.

6. $1,500 for California Dept of Peace Regional Conference Scholarships.

7. $525 for bi-annual Public Awareness Strategy Formulation Re-Treat Room, Food & Supplies.

8. $500 for Tabling Entrance Fees at Earth Fair and other public events to inform the community about the DoP bill.
