Kids For Peace is a delightful group of children working together to create a culture of peace both locally and globally. Our mission is to cultivate every child's innate ability to foster peace through cross-cultural experiences and hands-on arts, service and environmental projects. Our primary service project is creating and sending Peace Packs to children around the world. Peace Packs are handpainted knapsacks filled with school supplies, toiletries, toys and a personal note of friendship. We currently have over 25 chapters worldwide. Americans For Department Of Peace (AFDOP) is the Southern California grassroots chapter of the nationwide citizen's movement advocating for the establishment of a U.S. cabinet-level Department of Peace and Non-violence (DOPN). Using a fresh approach of addressing the root causes of violence, and capitalizing on existing proven strategies for violence reduction, the DOPN Bill, now in Congress, needs public support in the form of donations to AFDOP as well as letters and calls to members of Congress.
